Financial Aid and Scholarship Information

Picture
Private Donors Tuition Assistance (PreK through 8th grade)

Due to the generosity of private donors, diocesan scholarships, and our St. Anastasia Endowment Fund, we are able to provide families with financial assistance. In order to qualify for a need-based St. Anastasia Scholarship, families are requested to complete a separate Grant & Aid Application.  To apply, log into the Family Portal, Financial section and click on the Grant & Aid application.

The average award ranges from $250 to $2,000 per child.  Assistance is available on a first come, first serve basis and must be applied for each year. The amount of the award is confidentially determined by a committee of school administrators who use a sliding scale, which is based on the information provided by the family and the objective need amount that is calculated by FACTS.

Returning Students Deadline:  Applications for fall scholarship distribution are due March 5, 2021
New Families: Financial aid is available each quarter for those who qualify.  FACTS Grant & Aid Application for New Families

Step Up For Students

Step Up For Students is a state-approved nonprofit scholarship funding organization that helps administer three types of scholarships for Florida schoolchildren: the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship Program (FTC), the Florida Empowerment Scholarship for lower-income families and the Gardiner Scholarship for children with diagnosed special needs which are listed on the Gardiner website.  The Income based scholarships are once in – always in.  Proof of income is only needed with your initial application to qualify.

Florida Tax Credit Scholarship  (Kindergarten through 8th grade)

The Florida Tax Credit Scholarship (FTC) is based on financial need. For example, the income threshold for a family of four was $47K last year.  Families may qualify for approximately $6,400 in tuition assistance per student.  Families who are renewing their application for the 2021-2022 school year should complete their renewal application in February 2021.  For more information, the application, qualifications and deadline dates can be found by going to www.stepupforstudents.org.  State funding is limited so apply early.

Renewal Families Open Date:  February 2021
Renewal Families Deadline:  TBD
New Families:  Applications will be open in March 2021 (APPLY EARLY!)

Family Empowerment Scholarship (Kindergarten through 8th grade)

The new Family Empowerment Scholarship is also based on financial need. For example, the income threshold for a family of four was $77k last year.  For new families that qualify, the student is eligible to enroll if entering into kindergarten or has spent the prior school year (2020-2021) at a Florida public school. Families may qualify for more than $6,400 in tuition assistance. Families who are renewing their application for the 2021-2022 school year should complete their renewal application in February 2021.  Last year this was not necessary, however it is now a requirement for the 2021-2022 school year.
